Hello again! Today, we introduce you to North Myrtle Beach real estate agent Matt Becker. He grew up in Southern Illinois in a family of four. He had one brother, and his father owned an insurance company. After graduating high school, he attended college and got his Associate’s Degree. After college, he married a young lady from Illinois. The newlyweds remained there since it was their hometown, but his parents purchased Myrtle Beach real estate and moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Not long after their move into their beach real estate, Matt and his wife visited his parents and enjoyed Myrtle Beach’s 70-degree weather. But once they returned home, there was a blizzard. Matt and his wife decided to move south to the warm, sunny climate of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and enjoy the ocean breezes, mild weather, and all the other amenities the Grand Strand offers. Off they went to shop for homes for sale in Myrtle Beach.
Matt became a North Myrtle Beach real estate agent, and he and his wife started a beautiful family. First, he had a little girl currently attending the University of South Carolina, majoring in Biology, with a long-term goal of becoming an orthodontist. Next came a son, currently enrolled in the Academy of Arts, Science and Technology and majoring in digital communication in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The Academy of Arts, Science, and Technology is adjacent to Myrtle Beach homes for sale in the Carolina Forest community.
Matt is one of our most successful Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living agents in North Myrtle Beach, so we asked him a few questions about his success as a South Carolina real estate agent. Here we go…

A: I have been a North Myrtle Beach Real Estate Agent for 24 years. I worked with another company for ten years. Then, I decided to go to work for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living in North Myrtle Beach.
Q: There are many North Myrtle Beach realty agencies, but you chose BHGRE—Why?
A: My mother was working for Elliott Beach Rentals, and she told me Rick Elliott’s family, who owns Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living, was a very well-respected, honest family with good values. She felt the company would be one that I would enjoy aligning myself with as an employee. It had a great reputation, so I tried it, and I have been with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living for 14 years.
Q: How do you market yourself to a potential client that causes them to choose you as their North Myrtle Beach real estate agent?
A: I feel like my credentials speak for themselves. I have had a broker’s license since around 1996. I have 24 years’ experience. I was a top producer at my prior job for ten years. I have been in the top five since 2003 at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living.
Q: You are one of our most successful real estate agents. What do you attribute your success to?
A: I live, eat, and breathe beach real estate. I am always available, and I have fun with it. You can’t be too serious all the time.
Q: Do you prefer to focus on Myrtle Beach oceanfront condos, beach houses for sale, or beach land for sale?

A: I am fair and honest. I ensure that everyone in the transaction is 100% aware of everything about the beach property for sale and that the client is always satisfied. If the clients are not happy—no one is happy!!
Q: As a North Myrtle Beach real estate agent at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Elliott Coastal Living, you do not have set office hours, so you must be self-motivated.
